For some reason, people appear to associate Fame with some level of wealth and equal sense of happiness. Perhaps this may have been choice, hope and dream of Richard and Mayumi Henne.
Everyone Wants To Be A Star
Contemporary society rewards standing out in some way — that's the name of the game, no matter it be as a YouTube talking head or a contestant on a reality TV show.
Really, I hear all different justifications from everyone I meet as to why they or someone they know (But, mostly them) should have their reality TV show. I usually just smile while they reveal their 'Big' idea - starring them, of course.
Ah...If I were a simple Computer Programmer or Real Estate Tax Accountant (Parents ideal wish), I would not hear half of the tales, requests, ideas, and advice - the only issue is that EGO will not let me do anything else. Ah, it's my burden....
