Ever Crash a Wedding?

Earlier this week, NBC announced it's new show "The Real Wedding Crashers" will air during the coveted prime-time Monday night schedule.

Quite frankly, when I first heard the concept of a TV show inspired by the crude (albeit silly) 'comedy' film, my first thought was "Who would need to crash a wedding?" - I am the type of person that cannot get off of the guest list, let alone trying to get on one. I have more than enough invitations should there not be enough to go around.

The Jig Is Up?
Can you really crash a wedding - I mean what a great way to get free drinks and great food...

I would think that sooner or later someone would blow your cover. Talk about an awkward moment, just a bit of advice, have your story ready and sprinkle in one or two key names for back-up, just in case. Or, you could just come clean and say "Well, I saw this movie called Wedding Crashers and just thought I'd give it a try". Just a thought, bringing a wrapped gift may get you some mileage.

Order a Ketel One Martini for Me
According to a friend who happens to be a hotel planner, this apparently happens in real life at many nuptials across the country and the movie may have been the catalyst that inspired these matrimonial thrill seekers. So, perhaps it's quite possible that real life inspired the movie which in turn brings out the courageous which is now a spin for a TV show - I like it...

Anyway, the 6 episode show is the dream project of Ashton Kutcher (a.k.a. Punk'd or Punkdee as I like to affectionately call it), is a reality show that's similar to Ash's style of hidden camera pranks. The show will be lead by a team of seasoned improv performers/ comedians who try to weasel their way into real weddings (Not to worry, the Bride & Groom are also part of the shenanigans)...Now that's my kind of party.

The crashing begins Monday, April 23rd.
